Interpreting Your Results
Scores:
0 - 60:
Your energy is severely depleted. It is important that you take control of your personal energy resources immediately so that you don't end up with a chronic or acute mental or physical condition.
61 - 90:
You are operating in survival mode with barely enough energy to stay on the treadmill of daily life. Now is a good time to take stock of your inner and outer world and make some changes to increase your energy.
91- 120
You are headed in the right direction. You know yourself and are aware of what nourishes and drains your energy. A small increase in boundary setting and self-care could take you into "Bright One" status!
121 - 150
Congratulations, you are a Bright One! You are connected to your spiritual core/internal source of energy, and know how to manage it in a way that supports your growth. Keep up the good work while enjoying the benefits of a passionate, energized life!
Spiritual
Connection
Questions one and two assess the act of connecting to your spiritual core – your spiritual practice. Daily practice provides your spiritual nourishment, which is your source of fuel.
Nourishment
Questions three, four and five assess the amount of spiritual energy you are able to contain and bring into your day. Intuition, feelings of pure joy, and a sense of purpose are all natural byproducts of a spiritual practice.
If your scores are high on questions one and two and low on three, four and five then you may want to modify your spiritual practice.
Emotional
Awareness and Literacy
Questions one and two assess your level of emotional awareness and literacy. Often people are limited in their ability to feel and/or in their awareness of their feelings. Cultivating this awareness increases overall emotional health.
In addition, being able to experience and identify a wide range of feelings results in increased empathy for others. We cannot feel for others what we do not feel within ourselves.
Emotional Clarity
Number three looks at your ability to contain your emotions when necessary or appropriate. Being able to manage your emotions reflects your level of inner clarity and resiliency. All of us experience some trauma in our lives. The ability to process this trauma so that it does not get “stuck” is crucial for emotional health.
Emotion is energy in motion. It is designed to move through us in the same way it moves through a baby. Tears one moment and laughter in the next. Holding on to negative emotions for an extended period of time is a reflection of emotional congestion. Emotional congestion needs to be released so that both negative and positive feelings can flow freely.
Questions four and five measure emotional expression and intuition respectively. Sharing your feelings in an appropriate manner is vital to emotional health. When you are emotionally healthy and relatively clear of old residue, you will experience intuitive guidance through the feelings in your body.
Mental
Awareness
Question number one looks at how aware you are of your thoughts. Awareness is the first step to change. Many people are unaware of what they are thinking from moment to moment. Thoughts are powerful organizers of energy. They can either support healing and growth or sickness and destruction. Only by monitoring our thoughts can we change them at will.
Alignment
Number two measures mental alignment or the degree to which your thoughts reflect reality. What is reality? The truth is that you are essentially good and uniquely gifted. If your thoughts do not reflect this reality they are not supporting your growth.
Discipline
Questions three and four measure mental discipline – the ability to redirect your thoughts or quiet your mind at will. It takes time and effort to develop mental discipline in a society where many people are addicted to thinking, yet not in control of what it is they are thinking about.
Intuition
Question five measures your mental capacity to receive intuitive insights. A relatively clear mind will receive chunks of information spontaneously.
Physical
Self-Care
Questions one, two and three evaluate your level of self-care. Sleeping well, exercising and eating for hunger rather than emotion is critical for physical balance and overall health.
Metabolism and Physical Balance
In addition to measuring self-care, question number three looks at metabolism. A strong appetite prior to eating is one of the indicators that your body is producing enough heat to burn those calories along with any congestion built up in the body. Congestion can be the result of ingesting toxins or chronically consuming too many calories.
Question four measures physical balance and clarity, by assessing the clarity of eyes and brightness of skin. With the presence of exhaustion or physical congestion the eyes become glazed over and sometimes bloodshot or off-color. Excess physical congestion results in skin becoming dull and lifeless, as the skin is a primary source of eliminating toxins.
Energy Source
Question five measures your source of energy. Addictive or excessive consumption of food, drugs or alcohol are indications that you are disconnected from your primary source of energy: your spiritual core.
Environment
Social Support
Questions one and two measure the amount of support you receive from family and/or friends. Social support is essential. It is a form of nourishment. Many studies have shown that isolation from others can lead to an increase in various illnesses, and even earlier death for those who do not have a social network.
Boundaries
Number three measures your ability to set boundaries when it is in your best interest. This is also tied to time-management which is key to effective energy management.
Nourishing Environment
Number four looks at whether your home is a source of nourishment or not. Toxic family or roommate dynamics affect the quality of energy present in your home, as does clutter and a lack of cleanliness.
Energy Management
How you manage money is symbolic of how you manage your personal energy. Those who are stingy with money are likely to be stingy with love toward others and passion toward life. Those who let money fall through their fingers probably unconsciously pour energy into others and activities at the expense of themselves.
Passion
Cultivating Flow
Passion in life is a direct reflection of how much life energy is flowing through your body. We increase energy flow (passion) through deliberate self-expression. Questions one, two and three assess how much life moves through you and into your environment. Expressing yourself through your career, hobbies and affection for others is the best way to increase feelings of passion and joy in life.
Measuring Flow
Questions four and five measure symptoms of passion. Sexual vitality and daily excitement/enjoyment indicate that life force is flowing through your body at a high level.
